hey guys im thinkin of putting 2 rockford subs in my ef and i was thinkin that if i seal off the cabin to the bootlid properly by mounting the subs in a bit of MDF behind the back seats the subs would still work quite well as the boot would almost act as the box

cheers for the help

It would work but not very well... Basically the same as building a big leaky box, it'll work but you're going to lose output and quality. Just build a box or there's no point having such big subs.

Oh if it was a month ago I would be all over it haha.
But I just got a JL 12 W3.

I would just try one 15 at first. It is a lot of bass for one car. Lol.
