Hey you could of used some 302C rods like I did. Ahh well you need to save money for the throttle bracket anyway Brett

Yes, i do, I have some I beam rods, and now have a choice of essentially the same pistons but made by Probe, or the cast pistons. I am looking into the Probes, as they are the same part No. If Probe have some then i will be getting them, if not they said 2-3 weeks to make a set, so i will probably go with the cast pistons if that is the case. Wait and see i spose.
How is the bracket coming along Pete. Insteat of having the mounting flange go 2 inches rear, as you did, could it go 2 inches to the front of the TB. I think i already discussed this with you, but just making sure. Send me a PM with your bank details so i can send you some cash. Cheers Brett

Barney Demaj from VPW is great to deal with & also the boyz the High Performance world are good and will find the gear ur looking for quick smart.
Everyone has there own oppinion on how to build the engine and i guess u should build it to ur budget but i can see the extra 1-1.5k on better gear would take alot more punishment, and also less worries if its gona let go and easier and better resale.

Mickyyyy, I spoke to both VPW and HPW and neither had anything in stock bore, so it defeats the purpose. I need stock bore pistons as the machining on the block is finished and the ring pack is already here. WHy spend money when it doenst need to be spent is all.

Thnaks Pete, I managed to get some "custom" stock forged pistons from Probe. They are in transit. Went for the ones i wanted, but with a slightly smaller dish to give a 10:1 comp, and for a grand total of $491US. Should be here end of this week/early next week depending on postage.
