How hard is it to remove the ehxaust? Is it just a matter of undoing all the bolts and that and discounecting it were it hangs off the bottom of the car?

removed mine a few weeks ago. if your doing it at home you will need ramps. put them under the back wheels (i made the mistake of puting them under the front) then yes, pretty much remove bolts, i had to cut it just before the bend over the diff, as i diddnt have enough ground clearance to swing it over (tip would hit the floor) if your fitting a new one then this is much easier then the removal of the old one. just remember to start your car once the old one is off (just coz it sounds cool
hope this helps.

and use rost off or nut cracker spray on the flange nuts other wise they might snap because of the high temp them are put under

Reason I ask is that I want to remove my 2 1/2" Lukey and clean it up and spray it in black heat proof paint to help make it last a bit longer. But I suppose there'd be no harm in actually leaving it on the car and painting! It's not like black paint would look messy oversprayed onto the underbody since it's black (and it probably wouldn't even stick because of how much dirt would be on the underbody) - might try that first actually.

I don't see how painting the outside will help it last longer. Exhaust systems usually rust out from the inside.

Well, it'll make it look pretty for anyone whose underneath my car then! Don';t the welds and that start to rust pretty quickly? |

The can of stuff I've got is rated to 1,500 *C, hopefully should be fine. Anyways, it's all painted now, just got to wait for it to dry a bit more nad hten jam it back up there. |
