Its not a new engine!!!!
Its just a new cam, obviously, the ECC has to get used to it and thats why you gotta let it know that you're gonna give it the boot every now and then. Trust me on this one.

New cam/ re-grind.......same s**t, its a different cam now then it used to be but yeah... Reset your ECC, then take it for a spin on how you'd normally drive it, and give it a boot too. It'll all tune i about 1 fuel tanks worth. Do it!

Well wade definately put a note saying to avoid high rpm foir the first 2 hours for a reason, so i'm gunna at least give it 2 hours of low rev granny driving.

ok do that but remember that you must poke it with a stick before the ECC is finished its re-learn mode.

Yes or you'll be stuck with a rather unexciting ride. I reset my ECU two weeks ago (different reason, I dumped it as part of my make my own 'chip' project), and for the first few days I flogged it absolutely everywhere, it's been running great since.

Ok, so I'll give it two hopurs of easy low reving granny driving - as Wade recomend, and then give the rest of the 200km's which people say it takes the ECU to learn some 'Itallian Tuning'!
I've got a question for yu guys though, will I have to go through this process every time my battery is disconnected and ECU resets? |

I've got a question for yu guys though, will I have to go through this process every time my battery is disconnected and ECU resets? Unfortunately......yes. As far as I know I don't think you can avoid this.

If its a momentary loss of power it will be fine. However i think what you're asking is... will you need to drive around like grandma for 2 hrs everytime EEC is disconnected? NO!!! Give it a chance to sort its idle out once you reconnect the battery, and then proceed to flog the s**t out of it. So, have you redlined it yet? What's the verdict?

I'd trust prof. frink on this topic (internally oriented exothemic reations resulting in oscillatory momentum).

There's definately an improvement, very noticable on the highway, or when you come out of a corner and plant it. Off the line it's better, but nothing to rave about. But it's about thebest value for money 250 i've spennt.
