just driving round the other day and noticed at certain rev ranges my rear vision mirror starts to have a slight rattle/ vibration to it... sometimes when it idles on a cold morning, i have gotten my exhaust done too so maybe that provoked it... but does any1 know if theres a usual thing that happens?

i put my hand on it and it stops it but i cant figure out whats loose on it, and then it happens again?

not sure if gettin another one off another ba will help

cheers luke

have you also checked the screw? i think ford used screws for ba onwards, but look for a screw of some sort and also check that.

The mirror in my BA Ute rattles too. Something to do with the sub firing directly into it. I fix it by turning the music up louder!

you need a BF mirror, they have the screw in them. although in most cases trying to remove the mirror will crack the windscreen.

good luck

Ha Ha i had this bloody same problem too. It was driving me senile. I was thinking something was rattling in the dash until i grabbed the mirror. I ended up stretching a rubber band and putting it between the windscreen and the mirror mount and got a blade and cut the excess ends off where it was still hanging out. Fixed. Sounds bodgy but no more rattly mirror and you cant see it. I also could not find anywhere of tightening it.

In the el you've most likely rattled the grub screw loose/out of the mirror check if the grub screws still there if so try tightening it, like a 3mm allen key? if it's gone you'll need to find another, I've had the same issues in my ef, and not the only one.
