my car stopped locking the other day out of the blue and when you lock it, its like one of the doors are open and the cars horn goes off even with using the key it does it, anyone got some ideas of what could be wrong.

have u had any of the door trims off lately.
sometimes if u refit the door lock knob too low on the thread it doesn't allow enough movement for the lock to operate properly.

remove the door lock knobs, lock the doors via the dash button
pull the white centres down in the knobs approx 10mm and wiggle them down on the threaded posts, then push the last bit to clip them together.
now test to see if they lock properly

Also worth spraying the lock and the linkages in the doors with some WD40 or CRS....will really free things up. Mine did the same thing with the added pain of the outer door handles being quite tight....after a fair amount of CRC its nice and smooth and the central locking works a breeze. Perhaps lube it first then adjust the locks?

i would avoid using wd40 or crc in your locks mate they can hold water that gets in and rusts your barrels out try some graifit powder and also to your question try testing your locking acuators if one goes funny the car won't lock thinking a doors open they aren't too hard to replace just a matter of taking off door skin drilling out some steel pop rivits and undoing a plug about $120 each unless you want to put in an after market but then you will have smart lock to deal with to test unplug one at a time and try to lock
