Was just reading up on ebay...and came across these Fusion Powerplant series amps...
1200W Fusion Powerplant 4 Channel Amplifier http://cgi.ebay.com.au/1200W-Fusion-Pow ... 2a07703f49 3000W Fusion Powerplant Monoblock D-Class Amplifier http://cgi.ebay.com.au/3000W-Fusion-Pow ... 2a075c15fb The specs seem to be right up there with some of the big names (Soundstream, Rockford Fosgate, etc.)...but obviously cheaper in price... Anyone tried any of this brand stuff??? Is it any good??? Do we all need to use the expensive "name brand stuff" just for the sake of status and appearance...when some of these other products may work/sound just as good??? Any opinions gratefully accepted...before I start planning out my incar/boot install...

Yea they would do the job.
Check out RYDA.com.au for around about pricing. What sorta gear are you powering though? Thats probably the most important thing when selecting an amp. Also this is suggested alot on Mobile Electronics Australia Quote: *CD HU iPod connection ~$300: Alpine, Pioneer, JVC
*2-way 6.5" splits for front ~$300: Focal 165A1, Boston Acoustics S60, Hertz ESK165 *4-channel amp ~$400: Digital Designs C4b, Clarion XH5410, Alpine MRP-F300, Pioneer GM-D9500F , Jaycar/Response 4x100 *single 12" sub ~$200: Pioneer TS-W308, JL Audio 12W1v2, Alpine SWS-1223D, Digital Designs DD512 |

As much as i think Fusion gear is crap, i bought a 12" powerplant woofer 500wrms to prove to my mate that his Alpine type R is not the only 12" worth buying, although it f*****g pumps like crazy. We wanted a cheaper alternative and matched it with a 500wrms amp, small ported enclosure to match his setup i installed it, tuned it and it is absolutely awesome...... for the price. I still believe the type R sounds a poofteenth better, but value for money, not bad at all (actually really surprised us). Stay away from the green encounter series though, theres a reason they're cheap. Now as for the amps, well id expect them to be decent also. You still get what you pay for though.
