Hi guys,
This may sound like a silly question, but I just wanted to know if it was as important to have a decent flowing (3inch or higher) exhaust on a ba xt which is running factory straight gas set up with forced induction (turbo) Also another question, what kind of power can a standard BA xt handle turboed (engine, diff, transmission) I am only after a rought indiction. ( I know its a loaded question) because it will come down to how you drive the thing at the end of the day. The car will just be a daily, and wont be going through a thrasing or anything. if you put a bigger exhaust on you should see gains. not sure about the e-gas motors but in the standard motors the conrods bend at around 330rwkw. the e-gas motors might have had stronger internals.

These motors must be pretty strong then. I dont plan on pushing it that hard. Maximum I would aim to push is it 250rwk something that can help me achieve 12sec passes. But alot of other factors will also come into it (diff, tranny etc) Do you know how much power the standard auto and diff can handle? |

How big is the standard xr6t exhaust? Twin 2.25 IIRC. I'd go twin 2.5 or a single 3.5" exhaust.

3" single on 5.4 V8 will flow enough for 370 rwkw...
A larger dump pipe to smaller after cat won't hurt too much.. 3 1/2 dump to 3" will do fine..Exhaust size after turbo is quite important ...
