yes, but you need to put them back in the order they came out, as they are your upper control arm shims to adjust your camber and caster,
otherwise when you go for a wheel alignment tell them you mixed up the shims so the camber can be adjusted again.. |

To take the struts out, you need to undo the bolts in the engine bay on top of the strut tower. NOT the centre one. Drop the inner control arm bolt and sway bar mount on the control arm. And let the lower control arm hang down. The strut should fall out then. Easy.

there are few ways it can be done, you can undo the upper control arm from the inner guard,
imo the easiest way is...you seperate the upper ball joint..(thats how i do it) quick and easy ... |

Talk about doin it the hard way!!!!....There is no need to under the upper control arm bolts what-so-ever......Just undo the upper ball nut, the 3 nuts at the top, and the nut/bolt at the bottom.
You get more movement of the stub axle assembly if you take the caliper off...you wont stretch the brake hose then. Then use a crow bar, off hang off the stub axle to force down the lower arm to give you room to get the bottom of the strut out. I have done 100's of them. Remember to align the upper 3 studs and the shockie so they fit straight in, no twisting.
