hey guys,

As alot of you would know that my car was recently broken into and they busted the bootlock and scratched the bootlid up alot.

Now, what im thinking of is taking the bootlock out and patching up the hole with as little bog as possible, but of course i'm going to have to use a very thin layer. So therefore there will be no bootlock for them to bust open if they try again, which hopefully they wont.. What do you's think?

Or should I just get a new lock, which will probably cost a fair bit of money, or just weld it up and have no bootlock ..

Cheers
Rob

personally id weld it up n spray it, since its scratched u can say its only costing u the welding which isnt THAT bad being only a small hole.
Prob is the metal its made in is very thin and can ripple when heated up when they try to weld it up - makse sure they know know know know they can do it properly.
Seem some very dodgy patch up jobs n it looks s**t house, 10x worse IMHO.

i was thinking of doing the same, i also will be looking at a manual boot release for the off chance the battery is flat. you know the old skool cable setup but hidden somewhere under the rear parcel shelf, just another idea....
