Which 5sp do you have??? there were 2 different types in XF...light duty and heavy duty.
In light duty (LD)....reverse is next to 1st......5th is next to 3rd. In HD.....reverse is next 4th. If it is the HD one, no probs. Better off using manual ECU too.......EF's have 106 pins. The XF bellhousing won't bolt up to the EF block.

The light duty 5 speed was fitted to 3.3 XF's, and Sigmas. If you flog it behind a 4.0 or 4.1, it will fail. DO NOT USE THESE GEARBOXES for anything other than doorstops.

That isn't the same crappy 5speed box that was in the VH & VK 6cyl dunnydoors was it? IF so, they are weak as piss! Hardly strong enough to be a door stop! Cheers ToranaGuy

Because the 4.1 could break it too easy lol. I think the 5spd might have only been on the 173 in the VH. My mate managed to break a few with a stock carby 202 in his vk, without abusing the box. They are piss weak... Cheers ToranaGuy
