what fusible link would yous use wont matter if the 70a fuse is left in the main fuse holder instead of say a 80 would it?

leave it as per factory, why do u want to change the fuse? Upping the fuse rating beyond wiring amperage/tolerance means that if somethings gonna fry it wont be ur fuse, thats why ur fuse is there.

Why would you upgrade the wire if you're not upgrading the alternator? The stock specification wire is fine.
You don't change fuses for a higher rated one, it won't work as it is meant to in case of fault otherwise. I assume that a Bosch BXF1259 alternator isn't the standard model? But IIRC the stock ones are 85 amp.
