Wanting to fit a AU diff to my EF XR6, I can get a complete AU1 ABS diff for $250 is there any advantage in fitting a AU2/3 diff over the AU1 diff.
There must be some differences because the rotors and barke pads are listed with different part numbers, just dont know if there is a performance advantage to be had. Cheers.

This isn't very detailed, but the AUII and III have bigger and better brakes.
I loved the brakes on my AUII, go for it Although if the brakes on your EFs front end are stock it may feel a bit funny.

From what I can find out the AU2/3 got bigger discs and two spot calipers on the front, but I cant find out if the back recieved a significant upgrade.

I have found some information on a AU site saying that all AU diffs have 287mm discs and single piston callipers, so I wouldn't think there would be that much difference.

AU has a 12mm thick disc and AUII/III has a 16mm thick disc......rears that is....different calipers too.
