whats goin on with the diff you have now?

It's a single spinner with 3.08 diff gears, it got rebuilt last year that cost $900 is was suppose to have an LSD put in but they actually shimmed up the single spinner and it was locked up. It would skip around corners and just was silly to drive. It started making wierd clunking noises after 2 weeks so i took it back and they backed it off. Now its barely spins both wheels and it also whines like a b**ch now.

are they legal?

Because they unlock, allowing differential action, yes, they are legal.

sounds pretty good, i got quoted $730 labour only to install supplied 3.9"s. so it would be an easy $1000. not sure if i want to yet as the diff is only 20000km old
