Hi guys, I recently pruchased a set of 17 inch wheels and one has a crack in the spoke which I have now been told, cannot be repaired. They came off an EL so spacers were not needed and I want to put them on my XH. There is no manufacturers name on them only the size, the load rating and the offset of 0. The spokes are flat and the lugs around the rim are fake. Can anyone tell me if they know who made these and any other infor will be greatly appreciated. Cheers, AU055.

Thanks Ross, if I can't find another wheel then it looks like the old box trailer will have some nice wheels instead of the trusty old chrome 12 slotters. You never know, somewhere out there in the good old Ford world there just might be an answer.

I think it may be an after-market wheel and someone has put a Ford centre cap on it.

it almost looks like some form of Speedy wheel, alot of them have the fake allan key heads around the edge.

I spoke to the guy at Morton & May and he thinks that it might be a cheap Chinese wheel and he suggested Bob Jane. I showed it to the Bob Jane Manager at Liverpool and he said that it is not something that they have sold and he's been with them for about 15 years. The idea that it is possibly a speedy wheel gives me something to check. Thanks guys and keep the ideas coming, it all helps.

Hi guys, I just stumbled across a set of wheels on E-Bay and these wheels are Performance brand. Just my luck they are in Gympie, Qld. and is pick up only. I did send an email off to speedy wheels a couple of days ago and no response. Guess whos' wheels I'll never buy. If they can't respond to an enquiry then they can't have my money. Thanks for you inpu so it's off to Performance wheels now to see if they can help. Cheers.

Steve, ask the guy about postage, it's easy go to local wheel place and get boxes out of his bin - he'll like that as he gets more room. Might cost 25 -30 bucks each but probably not I recently posted a set of 20x9's to ACT for 22 bucks each.
but if he's had them on a ED the offset would be wrong for the AU wouldn't it.

Hey Ross, I sent him an email asking if he would strip the tyres off at my expense and send them as you suggeted. I've got the 18's on my Fairlane but these wheels are going onto the ute. Instead of lowering it, the bigger 17's will fill in the gap between tyre and guard lip. It rides a bit rough at the moment so if I lowered it, then it may affect the comfort even more. Besides, if I do ever sell her then having it stock is better and the biggest thing is that she who thinks she is obeyed, won't agree to more money spent on my new toy. Cheers.
