hi I'm trying to fit 18's to my 92 Eb Fairmont with standard ride height but worried bout the ball joint clearance. there is bout 3mm of clearance will the ball joint scrub the tires? the rims tires are 235 40 18. will the clearance change as tire warms?

i am running 245/35/19's on mine and had to take the grease nipple out of the top ball joint for clearence. i am yet to notice if the tire hits the cuphead bolts i replaced the nipples with but haven't heard them hit, even at highway speeds

yeah thank had mag on for 2 month now with no probs so guessin it be fine talked to few mates and wheel shops they said its close but gap wont change even if lower the car.

only way damage be caused if ball joint lets go.
