I was just reading an article on a guy building a volvo race car & he mentioned how from the factory this particular car had a cast iron 9kg lump of iron bolted to the fire wall and two smaller pieces inside the chassis rails at the front. Is this sort of caper common in factory cars to eliminate engine vibration etc. Falcons wouldn't have something similar would they? ha

Have a look underneath the Holden Crewman! This was the engineers solution to stop a vibration at a certain speed.
