I'm rebuilding an EF XR6 and the wiring looms in the engine bay have been cut in places. Can anyone help out?
Attachment: Attachment: There are more cut wires but fixing these ones should keep me occupied for a while. thanks

Do you know if it had LPG fitted looks like it to me. If so these wires would be tapped into another wire see if you can trace it back.

you have a general consensus on which waythe run, see if you can find the matching colour in one of the plugs... use a multimeter to beep them out to double check... record the pin in the plug, the wire colour and by what the plug plugs into you should have some idea what the application is for, be it fuel system, or whatever...
become a member of ford forums... http://fordforums.com.au/wsm/wire/efl/21-2.html this is the EF wiring schematics... Go to what you think the appropriate section is, match a wire colour up... it will give you a connector number... http://fordforums.com.au/wsm/wire/efl/21-3.html list of connectors... it will show a picture, this will enable you to double check the connector its in... go back to the wiring diagram and follow the wire and see a) what its for, and b) where its meant to go... Fiddly way, but its gonna be more accurate than guessing... Cheers, Tim
