New to the forum and need some help.

I have nearly finished putting my motor together and have come to the Ignition system setup

I would like some advice or recommendation on which MSD setup I should run (part numbers etc.)

The engine would fall into the mild to race category. (Tuned Headers,Big cam manifold etc.)

I can't help answer your question, but I'd recommend when you find out what you need, buy it from Summit in the US. I bought some MSD gear locally, it failed, I took it in for repair, they sent it to Rocket (Aus MSD distributer), they repaired it, told me the fault wasn't covered under warranty cos it must've been wired up incorrectly (had been running fine for 8 months), charged me $160 to solder one output and it failed again when I was cruising down a highway at 70kph. Hasn't gone in for repair this time.

I know of someone who had a similar incident, but purchased through Summit. They paid for postage back to them and sent him a new one without any hassles at all. I emailed them and explained my situation and they said they would've just sent me one out as well, if I'd have purchased from them.
