Thanks

depends on how far you want to go with the stereo...

small subs can fit behind the seat or under the seat....

you might not even need a sub if you buy some really good 2 way speakers, something like the kevlar speakers are very bassy...

I have done installs where the whole rear wall needed to be modified just to fit the massive subs in... depends on money and time and what you want to get out of it....

HI

Jaycar and rockford fosgate make sub/amp combos which are fairly skinny to fit under your seat you could even get one in between. Thats if you want to go the non-custom route.

When I did my audio I had a look at the autobarn boxes but really there designed for a space cab ute not a x-series.
My dad and I ended up making a sub box which fits between the seats. It can take a 10" slim-line sub or a bigger reverse mount. The box is more suited to the slim-line, the reverse sub was really for s**t and giggles as it only cost me $10 off ebay.
I run 2 amps which are cable tied to the underside of the seats.

The console lid had to be reversed so it would open

Anyway, hope this helped. Really depends how big you want to go and how you want it to look. There are easier ways to get big subs in but it will probably never pass a roadworthy again.

depends how far you wanna go with the stereo. if its juist for personal enjoyment, get a good set of 6x9's and a amp, if its for show, get a sub inbetween seets or in tray.

I know i hate have a sub right next toi my ear when driving in my mates car. its a right pain in the a***.

its only a small cab, of rme just get a set of good spaekers

or u cld just do it even better and safer...by putting 6" speakers in the door (2way) amp under the seat and buy a slim line sub and put it behind your seat or passanger seat.sounds wicked and i s very loud in my car.

do you have a lockin hard cover?? I'm currently designing a custom box to go into the tray of my XG ute, against the cab wall in that little covered area there for two 15" subs with room to mount the amp between them. Its only in the drawing stages atm but I'm puting them in the tray. shall be quite nice.
hit me up if you want the dimensions of the box I have on the go

my brother is running 2x 6.5 rockfords and 2x 6x9 alpine amped in his AU ute and its awesome, he had a 12" in for a bit but took it out as was overkill, amp some decent 6x9 or 7x10 and should give you good quality bass, as people said is such a small cabin, dont really need subs go quality speakers and it will be all good

Put some 'shaker' speakers under the seats, that will give you all the vibes you'll ever need. Sure works for my wagon. :D
