Um BenJ, my EF2 (one of the very last made just before they were discontinued) Has the Trans Dipstick.

Why would Ford delete the dipstick - how do you fill up the Auto trans?

because ford dont want you to service the transmision, they want it to be replaced when it fails..

i was shocked when i looked at the au service manual and there are no scheduled services for the auto...

Seems like a good idea to change over to the EF/EL manifold though, not only for the performance but also to solve a few access issues!

I changed the plugs on my XH today and it has the older ED style Inlet Manifold - tell you what, I would like to give whoever designed that thing with the dizzy ducked away underneath the manifold a good stern talking to !
