Hi Guys

When using an aftermarket computer (Haltech in my case) in you car how do you go about controlling the air conditioning? Or should the stock computer be left there for doing this? There looks to be a few temp sensors in the air conditioning system to tell the computer when it engage it.
Also, How well dose the Ford VR sensor work with the Haltech computers? The software has an option for the 36-1 "Ford Mototronic" trigger with a home sensor and without.

Cheers
Simon

the aircon in my case, i added another relay under the dash to trigger the aircon..
and fitted a thermostat from an ea heater box instead of thermister used in later models.

the wac relay is triggered via the ecu which earths it when the ecu receives the signal from the thermister when aircon is switched on...
i used the second relay via the ea aircon thermostat which cycles the pump on and off, it uses 12v so the relay i fitted is triggered via the 12v signal which cycles the pump on and off and the relay earths the wac relay trigger wire turning the pump on...

so basically i changed a 12v trigger into an earth trigger via a relay..

hope that makes sense??????

Ah thats good! :)

What I'm going to do is wire it up myself and get it running (however good or bad) pop it on the trailer and take it to get tuned. :) Wouldn't mind getting rid of some of the wiring from the firewall but its too hard.
