how easy is it to replace strut bars in a ed 6 cyl, how long is the average time that it takes, what tools are needed, can they be done in a driveway, do you need a wheel alignment after the strut bars are changed |

Strut Bars? Do you mean LCA's? (Lower Control Arms) If that is what you mean, yes.

Falcon's don't have strut bars. Please identify what part of the suspension you mean. It will make it possible to give you an answer. Thank you.

The strut bar is the bar that goes from the lower arm to the front of the k frame. Its usually called a 'radius rod'. It has a bolt on the front and a bolt on the lower controll arm. You Probably would have to unbolt the lower control arm at the k-frame to be able to get enough room to pull the bar out. All you'll need is some sockets and probably a ring spanner because it's hard to get a socket on one of the front bolts. You may as well get a full front bush kit and do all front end if youre going to pull them off. The hard part is removing the old bushes as theyre pressed in pretty hard, but the new one's are probably going to be 2-piece so they just slide in. As long as you dont touch the tie rods it shouldn't need a wheel allignment realy, but if the bushes were screwed it might be a good idea to get one anyway.

Radius rod is also known as Z Bar. Yes the LCA needs to come out from the K Frame for a radius rod change, any suspension work WILL require a wheel alignment.

are you talking about fitting a strut bar? as in the bar that goes over the top of the engine used to stiffen up the chassis?
