Hey guys, My dad just bought a 2003 BA XT and has discovered the heater does not work. After reading around the forums for a bit it appears it could be a broken mixer shaft or a fault in the HIM if it is similar to the other problems i have found on fordmods. My question is, is this a difficult fix? How would he go about finding the fault and repairing it? My dad is quite experienced in repairing fords but has only ever worked on fords pre 2000 models and does not want to stuff up his new BA. How much does a new mixer shaft cost? and if it does prove to difficult for him are there any ford mechanics on here in sydney that would be willing to do the job for cash on a weekend or something? We really dont want to take it to a dealer for the price they will ask for it. Anyways any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
