my ea wnt start it turns over with the el engine in it but wnt fire at all...ive got the smartlock imobilzer in and the fuel pump and ecu from the car the engine was in but nothing...the fuel pump run and the rail has fuel..also the el ecu is a duel fuel one...are the ea cfi ecu pinouts different to the el mpfi pinouts

If the EL ECU is dual fuel, it defaults to running on LPG.

This means the injectors are disabled by default. Hence it not starting.

You need to supply 12v to pin 8 to tell it to be in Petrol mode.

thanks... ok ive done that...i accidently had the wrong ecu in and it almost fired but then put the el one in and it wont fire at all still

the engine now starts but only for a couple of secs then dies..and i have no idea why it does...any help?????????
