I have recently bought a NA Fairlane and quickly fallen in love with it, but the transmission is close to buggad lol - heavy shifting - flareing - when warm low speed emits heavy grinding noise. I can get a good EF 4 speed tranny cheap and was wondering if it will bolt up to the NA? Please help

As you already have a 4 speed BTR Auto, then the EF BTR will bolt in and work fine.
Cheers BenJ

Cheers BenJ How ever the torque converters are not interchangeable between transmissions, i.e the EF converter will not fit the EA box and vice versa. But as has already been said, the EF box will bolt up just fine as long as you have the proper converter. I got caught out by this myself.
