Hi all, ive just bought a 2005 BA mkII turbo thats got 40000 kms of very soft driving under its belt, its never been thrashed or probably even revved past 5500 , I heard somewhere that the ecu has to learn the drive style of a new owner?? is this true or or crap

not so sure about the ECU side things...but deffs jealous of the rapid yellow xr...fkn love it. ive got sweet picture hanging in my room of rapid yellow xr6t with the standard wheels enlarged to approx 20in..looks mint haha

Thanks mate Yeah im stoked with this car its hard to find decent rapid yellow xr6ts, but this one pretty much showroom condition, I will eventually put some pics up here

The ECU learns pretty quickly on your driving behaviour so dont thrash it and drive normally.

I have a 07 xr6t ex chaser when I first picked it up it was going like a bullet but after driving it for 2 years with the occasional boot it was picking up not as well as I first bought it I was told that the ecu on the ba and bf series are always learning with how u drive it but if u have 2 set of keys 1 granny driving and the 2nd thrashing the ecu is encoded to the keys that start the motor
