Hi fella's,

First off, i've picked up an LTD sunroof, the electric, factory optioned one for a decent price. I'm getting the full roof chop so roof lining, switch, sunroof etc.

How do these mount? I'm under the impression the loom is already there and the main sunroof unit bolts into the roof and all that is needed is the hole for the glass professionally cut/sealed etc.

Is this correct?

It's come out of a DC LTD and is going into my DC LTD.

Cheers,
Mason.

I don't know about the mounting of the unit, but you will need to run all of the wires. The installer who fit mine ran new wires, and tapped into the fuse box. I did not like the way that he run the wires, so mine is now wired into the power window circuit.

The sunroof i removed from a Eb Ghia had only 3 wires that needed to be run down the side of the A pillar & tapped into near the fuse box, switch was mounted in the roof lining & the sunroof cassette mounts up as one whole piece like BenJ's.

I still haven't got around to fitting it yet, many other jobs, and i also have to decide which car I'm going to fit it to now, EB Ghia I6 or Eb Xr8 lol.

Cheers
