I was told this before but not sure if it really works........
"The trans mod requires a resistor to be placed in the line pressure signal wire from the factory trans controller, it can be fixed or variable"

MICKYYYY, that's your run of the mill shiftkit, like people have been doing for a very f**k long time.

I thought so but wasent sure as i dont have much to do with the BTR trans so dont know much about the electronics side of things. No one like's the suggested transmissions i mentioned previously???

You only need to control 2 solenoids in the BTR ECU for it to change gears
S1 and S2 (on/off solenoid) S6 is just high and low pressure under different operating conditions (on/off solenoid) S7 is just lock up (on/off) S3 and S4 and S5 are just there to make shifts soft and are not needed. So you dont need a ECU that can control a variable solenoid like the S5 as you simply dont need to use it once you disable the S3 and S4. So any dedicated aftermarket trans controller should be able to be made to control the BTR and it should even be possible for a good aftermarket ECU with suitable outputs to do it also. |

In my design S3 & 4 aren't used, but I have been under the impression S5 is needed to alter line pressure depending upon gear changes/operating conditions. Makes it a lot easier if that isn't the case.
I haven't even properly looked at S5, figured I would get around to it after (if) I manage to get a circuit which feeds S1 & 2 the correct on/off voltages whilst still feeding the ecu the correct voltage for which gear it is in. Sounds so much simpler than it is.

What number are the wires that are cut to do the s3 s4 trick , at the ecu harness ???

Once you eliminate the S3 and S4 in the oil circuit it renders the S5 obsolete, in other words it is not used or needed anymore, but still leave it connected to the ECU so it does not go to limp
In regards to the wires, consult the manual or thread, I am in a cafe in europe so cant access the info |

When you have acess to the info could you please tell me ! Cheers

I posted a spreadsheet with EF wiring pinouts on it a month or so ago. Search under my name. That will have the pinouts you need.
