OMG my BF does this, sounds more to the rear but you can feel it in the drivers seat, it more so does it when i take off slowish, doesnt do it if i smash gas. I reckon its something to do with my diff, what is this diff backlash? can you guys explain a bit more?

ok, be sure to come back and post what the problem is, it wouldnt surprise me if it was my dif, i did bang the rear into a curb a while back (all fixed under insurance) quite hard so wouldnt suprise me if they missed something

oh ok, well that could quite possibly be my problem as well, seeming as though i did smash the rear into a curb that could have very well fuked my diff a bit. how much they charge to fix it?

Matt if you want it fixed i was quoted around $450 ish from my auto tranny specialist. Usually only the middle top one goes and the outer bushes are ok but you change them all anyway. I asked about my car as mine is just starting to show wear but should be ok for a while yet.

You'll always get a thud under hard acceleration on these things. Usually much worse in a turbo than an N/A.

If you got it done for free, be happy. Its usually a $500 to $1000 job.
