I am doing a fuel injection conversion and the donor vehicle had a J3 Chip made by Fueltronics running on a 1DEB ecu in an XR8. I tried searching for Fueltronics but they don't seem to exist any more. The chip has a yellow fluoro sticker Which says "EB XR8" "Fueltronics" "FEBSIDEB". The "FEBSIDEB" has some black vivid marker over is so the first 3 letter are a best-guess. The second letter is very hard to make out. Could also be a "P".

Anyway, when I ran the conversion up on the test bed I did some KOEO scans with and without the chip.

Without the chip I get the normal codes in the normal order ie. 70 (module ID), 11 (system pass), 70, 11, 10, 11, 11

With the chip I get codes that are weird and in the wrong order ie 15 (KAM/ROM failure), 70 (module ID).

So Hopefully someone can tell me if this is normal or not.

Any help much appreciated.

I can pull the bin from the chip if necessary

This is a very old thread and that conversion went out the door a few days after my post. I didn't really expect to get an answer, I posted just on the off-chance that someone had some experience.
