Hey guys as it stats i really need help to find out why my instrument cluster keeps freezing (taco, speedo, fuel, temp) and how to fix it, i was hoping it was a common problem with an easy fix but cant seem to find anything on the subject.

also not sure if it is related or not but at the same time the cluster gauges started getting stuck the car under light load between 1000-2000 rpm the car seems to loose power and missfire very much similar to having worn plugs/leads but if i drive it over 2000-2200 i can flog it and it runs like a charm doesn't miss a beat??

I have tried resetting the computer and it didnt seem to work, also as a temperary fix if i take one of the fuses out and put it back in, or unplug the battery for a second in the gauges drop back to zero and work fine till the next time they get stuck? any help would be much appreciated.

maybe check all the earths for good contacts
do the au still use an earth point in the centre top of the dash like the earlier models, under the demist panel?

just checking the earths now so far they all seem fine
