hey guys
me and a mate are buliding a buggy and have the choice of a x flow or pre x flow to power it with

and are wondering what will respond to lil cheaps mods better like roller rockers? bigger carby? and exhaust or any other mods you think is worth while to get this thing moving better

um how do you tell if its a 2v head? with out opening it?

standard pre X-flows don't have a bolt on inlet manifold.

head and manifold is one cast.
Limited to carby types.

2V heads are sought after as you can have a variety of manifolds on them.

it looks as tho the 2 manifolds would come apart but the exhaust blost up to the intake?

i had a 250-2V in my xp falcon. it made 160kw@ the wheels @ 6800rpm. great motor but the heads are gettin hard to get. but there is heaps of go fast bits available...

um well standard they are 170hp you can just do a good exhaust, a nice cam, maybe somehead work and a good carby and you will push 200hp..........
with mine it had a ACL race series flat top piston (10.8.1 compression) balanced rods and crank
crane cam and pushrods, yella terra roller rockers, full ported, polished and flowed head, 302 windsor stailess valves, crane double valve springs, romac balancer, electronic dizzy, MSD 6A ignition, holley 500 carby, k&n air filter, pacemaker extractors, 2.5" system, c4 auto with shift kit and 2200stall, borg warner 3.5 lsd diff

i have a 2v in my XP falcon making 330hp on 7psi. uses a Holset turbo blow through into a 600dp.
