Guys
I have an AUIII XR8 auto. When i am travelling at 80km's+ at a steady speed on flat road the engine revs change from 1500 rpm to 1700 rpm every 15-20 seconds. Any idea's suggestions? Cheers John |

sounds like your torque converter is locking and unlocking

are you changing throttle position at all? even ever so slightly.

i have something very similar to this!
i will be driving along the freeway at 110 with cruise control on. rpm at its lowest is usually 2000 for me..but sometimes it will be 2200 upto 2400 and then will drop back down?

Maybe first check that the plug and its wires in the side of the transmission is in tight and is clean. My EL did this once, and turns out the plug was just dirty.
Also check the ECU plug is in good condition too with all the wires pushed in firmly... And that there is continuity between the ECU and trans plug for that solenoid. |
