Basically i have found these coloured globe caps that should replace the need for using led's for dash colour conversions. I should get them in the next few days so i will post back what they are like.

I tried the blue 'condoms' on some of my interior lights. They were s**t! didn't produce a blue glow at all, gave more of a milky sick aqua look.
Don't know how they'd go for colours other than blue, but if you're after blue, stick with the LEDs

They're not so crash hot, don't look nearly as good as the LEDs.

yer, and with red.. u need probably 2 to make it a nice red.
best thing to do is get the ready made ones from narva.. u do exactely the same amount of stuffing around as u do with the caps and result is 10 fold better! plus they fade after awhile!

I have tried the blue condoms on interior lights before and they are s**t. The cap is too thick and the light doesn't penetrate the material properly so it becomes really dull.
Definately not bright enough for the dash conversion. Go the LED's for the sake of $30 or whatever they cost to get a decent looking end result. |
