Can get a good price on a clutch plate, says its for a v8.. wondering if they were the same?

probably not but nothing ventured nothing gained....

nope..

the ea/eb1 i6 has a 245mm diameter clutch, the ed-au i6 clutch is 255mm diameter and the v8 is 268mm diameter

but you can definatly fit a V8 flywheel and clutch to an I6 motor.
