Hi everyone my name is Ben
i just purchased a lane very excited cant wait in 12 weeks to bring my daughter home from hospital
and start my new family

And this is my very problematic 5.0 ltr v8 lane, I bought it very cheap
and now im paying through the ar*e for it but im still ahead with a good car
well hopefully on wed..

Have replaced every single sensor on it still ran like a pig found out heads where gone bought the heads went to replace them found out bottom end is on the way, So out comes the motor
have bought a au motor and having installed now with genuine 98 thousand k's write off lane
and had that dropped in found out wirring and computer where playing up i tell you them bays get warm and cause the wirring to get brittle over time,

so motor back out now getting fully rewired from headlight to tail light so wed is d day get her back running like a new pin..

NOW THE FUN STUFF GOING TO GET STUCK INTO THE OLD MOTOR and see what i can do with it
well try and stick a rocket up it's ar*e anyway

Also i have brand new retrimed interior to go in so check out the for sale section shortly as everything inside this car is up for grabs

future modifications are doing blue dash conversion as these grey sdashes look fantastic with the blue lights behind them

3.9 gear ratio for diff getting it of the mark a bit better

double din head deck touch screen

deffinatly need to drop her down

yeah it would want to go better i got smashed by a guy at work in his vr 3.8 v6 5 speed has 3.45 lsd

so i need to get some more balls lol hopefully all cylinders firing and a au motor should take care of that with better diff gears in mine

also yeah rear muffler  kinda stops at diff was all rusty mate chopped it off cant wait to get
a new exhaust on her but sounded pretty tuff even with 2 cylinders down lol

Don't forget your car weighs 1800+kg a VR weighs 1200+

That's like saying my Nissan Patrol 2.8 Diesel got beaten by a Ford Focus Zetec

In saying that Race him on the highway lol commodores have no real power. They are just a light weight piece of rattly s**t with the comfort of an 1980s hilux.

Hi Ben, and welcome to Fordmods.

Your Lane looks nice and clean, a good base to begin with.

We have a regular meet in Liverpool every Friday night. I am at Seven Hills, so if you want to meet up we can travel down together.

Cheers
BenJ

PS. You must be a REALLY nice bloke, and I bet you are good looking too. All us Bens are LOL

Very nice car to start with, good work. :D

The seat and wheel look to have done some hard kms though

Shouldn't be too hard to track down some better ones.
