If I'm not mistaken, the Au2 calipers are designed to run on a larger disc than the EL's, so they wouldn't fit over the disc correctly, if they even bolted onto the stub axel, which I don't believe that they will.
Brake conversion kits for EA-EL all have modified stubs with adapter brackets to bolt the twin piston calipers & larger discs. Cheers ToranaGuy

Stub axles are TOTALLY different and the calipers will NOT bolt to the existing stub axles on and EL.
It IS possible to change over to an AU front end but would be LOTS of time swearing and expense, would be better to just buy an AU II. |

Race Brakes Sydney's front brake package I believe uses AU front calipers (PBR C5) with modified uprights.

I still think that a kit could be assembled using the AUII stub axles and upper arms with custom cast lower arms and radius rods.

Yep, you pretty much have to get on your knees and swallow. Unless you are going to mass produce is cheaper to buy an already made kit. Although in saying that how hard are the RBS/RBM/ebay kits to get engineered (or a mod plate for etc) for anyone whose got them?

Yep, thats pretty much exactly why I haven't bothered... someone would need to do R&D, then any testing, any revisions, more testing and then mass production. Not cheap. |

Someone HAS done the R&D and is trying to find someone to machine the parts.

I wouldn't be dancing until he finds a cost effective way to produce.

All u have to do to get the twin spot AU caliper on a EF/EL is to mod the upright which is basically just machining down the two hooks where the current caliper sits. Then make up a kidney plate to suit new caliper and braided lines.
I do believe that u will be more prone to having warped disks with the twin spot caliper if you use cheap quality disk rotor.
