Hi guys,

On my EF Mont Ghia i have two mufflers 1 straight after the cat (small one) and a quite large muffler straight after that smaller one (both before the tailpipe) and i have already removed the muffler on the tailpipe behind the bumper.

which one do i remove to get a better sound big one or small one?
heres a link to a picture of the exhaust on my car http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ford-Falcon-EF-E ... 3a5d68369f

Yep thats what i was thinking because all the sports systems have the big one and thats it (and a hot dog on the tailpipe)

just looking for abit more noise, mine so quiet.(a straight through muffler is next, repplace the big one with a sports muffler)

yeahs as i said mines not a ford muffler its a sports muffler so it would sound different to the ford muffler at the diff, my car idles kinda quiet then when u step on it its loud. it sounds good, would sound better with extractors, after it carboned up a bit it got louder, and power was a bit better

removing the front muffler and leaving the factory center one would make next to no sound difference. i done it on my old EA and yeah basically sounded the same. id just save up and get a sports one.

That it will.

Removing the 2 small mufflers on a factory system won't change the noise level of it much at all, will give a slight improvement to fuel economy, due to less back pressure. Best bet is a full cat back system....

Cheers

sometimes it makes a difference and some times it doesn't it depends what condition the middle muffler is in. but yea its a waste of time when cat backs are cheap
