you figure out which wires are what ... from where? the wires coming out of your HU or the wires behind the dash in yer car?
For the HU go to an installer, they will tell you, or maybe the pioneer website. For the falcon - get yourself a car repair manual!

I think he means the wiring in the dash not the HU.

Leave the factory Wiring alone, go to supercheeeeep and get a wiring harness adapter. Plug in to factory harness, plug in to pioneer stereo. Away you go. Costs about $20.

mmm
i find it best to always check the colour codes before you go nuts cutting and joining wires maybe someoen has made a mistake somewhere down the line, maybe your car has been rewired for some reason. just a good precaution to take, saves blowing fuses and electrical equipment

instead of piss f@rt around with connectors and slicing and dicing with wires do a google search for 'AST sales' and you can get a wiring harness adaptor like i did for $15 odd. Its the quickest, neatest and fastest way and can all be done outside the car.
basically it acts as an adaptor that connects to the exsisting wiring plug and the other end has bare wires which you hook up to the unit best of luck |
