Hi guy's, just after you views on what heads would perform better on a 5.0lt windsor block. I have been toying with the idea of using cleveland heads that have been fitted with 4V valves or I can buy some gt40p heads. The 5.0lt block is a roller block.
If I went the cleveland head option how hard would it be to find a Boss intake for them thanks |

There are a lot more options for the GT40p than clevo's. It depends on your budget as well. I know the GT40's will fit into an XF without any mods to the firewall including the heater pipes because that's whats in my panelvan not sure how it would go with the larger Clevo's and the rocker covers are also a lot bigger. GT40's are quite good heads especially if you get some Tickford ones but remember to change the valve springs, they used to break them under new car warranty. Regards Alan TPVM.

What induction system do you plan on running? EFI or carb? If its carb then CHI do a manifold for this specific application. If its efi then you could still use the CHI manifold with a few options. Firstly you could use a Central Fuel Injection setup. It looks like a carby but has 4 injectors inside (kind of like the CFI EA 6cyl falcons). Or you could drill and tap injector bosses into the manifold, fab up a box plenum and set of fuel rails, bolt your throttle body onto the plenum and away you go. Just like XR9ute's injected 351 Windsor into XE Ute in this forum. |
