is the sump on a EB Tickford 6 the same as a EL Tickford 6?
and how much oil does a EL Tickford engine sump hold?

Identical.
5.5 litres on paper. or like most of us here, a 5ltrs including the filter fills these engines up.

I always put in 5.5 when i do a filter & oil change on my Eb I6. I find that 5 sits a little low on the dip stick, i like it to be on "full" when i have just done the oil change.
Cheers ToranaGuy

well with the 3.9L in my EB originally the book reckon'ed it took 6L but 5 with the filter used to put it at full so i always just overfilled it by .5L
and the XR engines dip stick was broken so i'm using the 3.9L one and i don't wanna be underfilling it. sometimes i hate being a mechanic. always have those kinda thoughts in the back of my head
