Thought someone had iinstalled a supercharger on the sprint today....just turned out to be an empty power steering pump. Not sure where the oil went, but i filled it up and ran it for a while but it sounds rooted. Anyone know of a place to get a reco unit for a 5L at a reasonable price. There are some on ebay but they are asking about $400 changeover.

check a local rebuilder - may get away for around $250.
Otherwise trans-steer in the US will ship one to you for around $200 (shipped) |

Nope - all the C2 pumps are the same. They dont come with a pulley - you need to remove the old one and put the new one on. You do need to make sure you get the right outlet fitting on it.
Out of interest though -for $650 or so you can upgrade to the commodore remote reservoir (saginaw) pump. Much, much more reliable, and doesnt have the air cavitation issues of the C2 either. The Trans-steer guys do a fair bit of shipping in for australian customers - email them Nigel |

You can try these guys.
http://www.prestigepowersteering.com.au/ I've been there before and they seem to stock a fair few different power steering pumps and also racks. Give them a ring and see how you go. Might pay to find out what the problem is first before you start buying parts.
