Ok so changing rotors and pads on my mate AUII Fairlane weekend just gone, Got everything done BAR the rear rotors. Seems that he has reversed his boat into the water a few times and SUNK the rear wheels up to the hubs!! WTF I said to him..
Back on topic, I cannot get the rear rotor to release. Any suggestions? I have tried WD-40 and similar, Released the handbrake etc, all the usual stuff.. Anyone got any pointers they can offer to remove a siezed on rear rotor. tried swearing at it rubber mallet on the back face of it, Is there something I am missing on the removal proceedure? yes I took the phillips head screw out. Gonna have to head out in a couple of weeks to actually finish whatI have started. Is heat an option? hit it with a heat gun? christ I've hit it with almost everything else in my tool box.

Just keep smashing the face of the rotor until it loosens, if that doesn't work Wurth make a spray called "Rost off Ice" works very well in these situations, spray some around the inner edge of the rotor and hit away.

Cool, I love the if it does not come off more force is required approach. My type of "mechanical" approach.

Sand off the rust on the axle spigot, then spray it with WD40, Inox, Wurth Rostoff or similar, and give it a few hits.

yeah as suggested clean the area, use a pentrating spray, beat the living f**k it.
actually, now i double think it, it'll have IRS becareful where you spray that pentrate, as you don't want it getting in the bearing, as I gather he's not after fast moveing bearing, haha, remember doing such to skateboards. then we worked out some rollerblades used abec 5's
