Just taken a flywheel off a EL tickford motor and tried bolting it to what we thought was an EF motor. But the holes dont line up on the crank... Block is stamped 94DA, EL tickford was stamped 96DA, Flywheel was originally off a EA. Any ideas what motor weve got here????

Matey, 94DA means STANDARD ED/EF Falcon if you mean on the head and 96DA is the same things, STANDARD EL. EA flywheels are different, 3.9 ltr as against a 4.0ltr.
The bottom end is the same, the change with XR's was the Head and cam.
If you have an XR, the casting number at the front of the HEAD is more likely to be 94DT with the Ticky wings. :)
