being automatic the computer will require changing but i dont now how youll go finding 3v6spd but like suggested the best option would be to convert it to manuall if you really want six gears i run the four speed in mine a good rebiuld with slight adjustments and stall converter makes it excelent

i thought the 6spd would be superior to the 4spd even with a bit of work. the bf xt v8 comes standard with the 6spd so i was thinkin mabe they slip straight in. just wonderin if ther would be any computer issues or with the dash display goes from 1 - 4. also tail shaft same or longer/shorter. and if the barra 230 is identicle to the 220 but with a sligtly different tune?

there would have to be a computer change, and then your gunna have to run a bf computer next question is are they compatible with the body controll module hin controllers dash ect... both boxes are pretty much as strong as each other just the advantage of shorter ratios on the lower gears ang higher overdrive ratio with the right diff ratio and a reasonable stall without overdoingit the 4sp is still a good reliable box i torture mine and have no complaints whatsoever

the six speed is much more advanced than the 4spd and alot more sensitive to whats going on

yea id love a 6 spd. auto moreso coz the missus drives every now n then but manual would be sooo nice.
Unfortunatly my son comes before car mods so i thing heavy driveline mods like gearbox change or supercharge is sorta outs the question.. ven tho im a die hard manual driver ever since my xe 4spd..
