hi all,
i was wondering if an AU automatic transmission will fit straight into my EL without any modifications? thanks alex |

Auto or manual? Manual no it won't, auto should with the e series bellhousing. And maybe a slight loom mod but doubt it unless its an adaptive shift one

my EL is an auto also and from memory it does not have the tiptronic shift thing like the BF's i have driven. so the bell housing from my EL definatly?

AU is too long for your EL. The tail housing is about 5cm longer.

The AU Auto is the SAME as the E series ones. Only the AU T5 manual is longer than the E series.
Even with the AU bellhousing it can be bolted up minus two bolts at the bottom. Still plenty strong enough. BenJ

benj is correct
AU auto goes into E-series using an EF/EL bellhousing the EA/EB/ED housing have a different bolt pattern |

i have an au sIII with an EF fairmont trans (4spd auto) bolted onto to it no probs at all, i just swapped over the bellhousing (using AU bellhousing), just so all the bolts were in...
