ive got the single 3 inch on mine with one small muffler and it sounds loud deep and grunty and i get comments all the time on how it sounds like a v8 supercar. it drones a bit on the freeway but i dont mind as its the v8 rumble and not the sound u hear coming from all those rice burner civics and so on. if u dont wanna hear that thumping v8 motor youve got underneath u then y get an exhaust in the 1st place.
regards from adam

As i said above, it depends what you want..
Me - i dont want it loud constantly, only when i open her up!
At idle it doesnt drone, infact drones NOWHERE, which is a BIG plus side!
I love the sound of an 8, but people who put big mufflers on them just to make a droney sound on them takes away from their natural sound imho, not saying dont use mufflers, but theres no reason you need to have a huge a*** drone following you everywhere you go JUST coz you have an 8 hehe

V8s will often have a nice Rumble sound.
The one thing I cant stand is a 6 cylinder droning like a Vacuum Cleaner.

I have a single 3" with a straight through muffler that dumps at the diff. sounds good at idle and unreal at WOT, drones a bit at about 80-90 but fades away after that, at 110 i can hardly hear it.

Isn't dumping at the diff illegal?

I think it's legal so long as it dumps behind the rear-most opening window (of course noise and greenhouse emissions compliance as well).

I'm running a 2.5inch all the way through. Dont know much about the system, was on there when i got the car. Used to drone a lot but this thing has severe Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde syndrome as it's completely changed since the blower went on. Now it screams (no doubt, in agony over the puny exhaust im running) under load. Certainly room for improvement.

Dont think there's much left of my cats/mufflers anymore hehehehe.

I got confilicting stories when I asked D.O.T that question. apparently the exhaust must exit behind the back windows, which it does by 1/2".

I have also been told that it is illegal and the law is that it must dump behind the last door, and the boot is classified as a door, Also the only vehicle that can have the zors dumping at the diff is comercial vehicles.

So all in all I have no idea if its legal, The exhaust tip still protrudes from the rear bumper (just for looks) so i dont think the cops would suspect me annyway.

Must exit the rear by 40mm. As for the last window there is a measurement - 3" I think.
