Hi guys,
Having an issue right now with my BA: after driving for a while, my car makes a on/off creaking noise from the left rear only when i brake. It is speed dependant (rate of noise slows as the car slows) I had my handbrake adjusted about a month ago but this hasn't fixed it any ideas? |

Noises that are speed dependant are usually bearings that a failing.
Could be CV joints... Or maybe the left rear bearing is failing. Maybe when you brake it is putting added strain on that half shaft and it makes the noise. Maybe the blade bush is rooted and it allows the wheel to move around when it shouldnt and you can here components (probably bushes) being stressed. Seems to be a common theme with problems in the left rear of these b-series. |
