The Series 1 will run with a series 2 ghia ECC. Nothing was changed between both series when it comes to ignition and engine management.

The series 2 ghia ecc was tickford enhanced which is why you'd like to swap obviously and this will give you better shift points.

They are plug and play, you won't have any issues going from one to the other.

preeeeeety sure the II's got the full XR treatment - i.e. more agressive fuel mapping, improved idle control, harder shift points etc.

i threw the ECU from an EF XR6 into my EF Futura (has some mods) and noticed a def improvement 8-) much better idle control for my cam, improved throttle response - generally, just a more fun car to drive! :)

waiting on my II Ghia ECU to turn up in the mail as we speak!
